Multi-instrumentalist musician & theater lady
Andrée-Anne Gingras-Roy has a master's degree from the Conservatoire de Musique de Québec as well as a performance diploma (combined music and theater) from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh .
She has performed with renowned orchestras such as the Orquestra do Algarve in Portugal, the Orchester Symphonique de Québec and I Musici de Montréal.
Internationally, she has participated in several festivals such as The International Chekhov Theater Festival of Russia (2018 and 2010), the Iberoamericano de Teatro Festival in Bogotá , Colombia (2008, 2012, 2014 and 2018), the Brisbane Festival d'Australia (2017 and 2018), the Festival Internacional Cervantino de Guanajuato , Mexico (2009) and the Brott Music Festival of Canada (2003), as guest soloist.
Her training at Carnegie Mellon University Scool of Drama and New York's Circle in the Square Theater School has earned him roles in several productions such as Mr. Like Megan / CMU Art Project , the Off Campus / CMU Television series and Wonder Boys from Paramount Picture . In addition, she played a role in the opera Einstein on the Beach by Philip Glass , at the Grand Théâtre de Genève , in 2019 (conducted by Daniele Finzi Pasca ).
As a multi-instrumentalist musician (voice, piano, accordion, percussion, violin, crystal glasses and ukulele), in 2005 she joined Cirque Eloize and Teatro Sunil in their international productions Nomade and Nebbia . Since 2011, his international artistic career has continued within the Compagnia Finzi Pasca , for the Donka , La Verita , Per Te and Abrazos productions .
Her multidisciplinary talent has earned her the opportunity to play, as a soloist, the piece Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy by Tchaikovsky , on crystal glasses, during the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games in Sochi , Russia, in 2014. It was also on this occasion that she was able to put her talent to good use artistic by assisting the direction for the staging of this large-scale show.
